Cruise port calls report: September 2026
AIS-detectedGenerated Nov 4, 2026 · revision 1
Summary
In September 2026, Voydar observed 3,292 calls by 296 cruise ships at 322 ports in 54 countries.
In August 2026 it observed 1,244 (+164.6%); part of the difference is AIS coverage.
The busiest cruise port was Barcelona (86 calls). Hurtigruten made the most calls of any line (720).
Counts follow AIS receiver coverage. Across the whole network, observed cruise calls went from 1,244 in August 2026 to 3,292 in September 2026. A port or waterway that moved by about the same proportion did not necessarily change at all; compare shares, not counts.
In this report: Barcelona, Piraeus, Alesund, Mykonos, Marseille

Limits
- Cruise ships are those Voydar lists on /cruise-ships: ships operated by a listed ocean or expedition cruise line (Wikidata or a cited editorial record), plus ships Wikidata types as cruise ships.
- Coastal express services such as Hurtigruten call at many small ports daily and weigh heavily in the counts.
- A call is a stop of at least 30 minutes inside a port's geofence, observed on AIS; tender calls at anchor outside a port are not counted.
