Cookie notice

Last updated: Oct 4, 2026

Voydar uses as few cookies as possible and no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies, so we don't show a cookie banner. This notice lists everything we store on your device and why.

1. Strictly necessary

  • Sign-in session (sb-…, first-party, set by our authentication provider on voydar.com): keeps you signed in. Set only when you sign in; removed when you sign out or the session expires.
  • Push service worker (/sw.js): installed only if you turn on web push; it receives notifications and does nothing else.

2. Preferences

  • Language (seadar_locale, up to one year): remembers a language you chose. Set only when you choose one.
  • Language suggestion dismissed (seadar_locale_hint_dismissed, up to one year): remembers that you dismissed a language suggestion.

Your choice to turn off session recordings is saved on your account, not on your device, so it applies everywhere you sign in.

3. Analytics

Our analytics (PostHog) keep their identifier only in memory, on the public site and in the signed-in Terminal alike, so nothing is stored on your device and a new visit starts fresh. Our host's page counts (Vercel Web Analytics) use no cookies. See the privacy policy for what is recorded.

4. Third parties

If you use "Continue with Google" or pay through Stripe, those services may set their own cookies on their own domains under their own policies. Ship photos (Wikimedia Commons) and map tiles (OpenFreeMap) are requested from those hosts, but they don't set cookies on voydar.com.

5. Your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the sign-in cookie will sign you out; everything public on Voydar works without any cookies.
