Marine: vessels, ports and maritime tools
Find a ship, understand its record, and explore the places and organizations connected to it. Start with a name or identifier when you know the vessel, or browse below when you are still exploring.
Understand a vessel
Vessel records bring together identity, available positions and history, and sourced relationships. Compare names and identifiers before choosing a record: a ship can change its name, and several ships can share one.
Explore the places ships use
Browse ports, boating facilities and major waterways. Open the relevant record for its available facilities, activity and source information. A nearby vessel does not by itself establish a port call or cargo movement.
Answer a practical question
Use marine tools and guides to interpret a record or plan your next lookup. Estimates and derived figures describe their methods; they are not observations.
Read the time as well as the position
AIS reception varies by location and source. A last received position is not a guarantee of where a ship is now. Check the observation time and the source dates on each record; missing information does not mean that nothing happened.
Come back to a ship you care about
Choose Follow on a vessel record to save it to your account. Sign in or register from that record so you can continue with the same vessel. Alert availability and limits depend on your plan.
