On 16 January, customs officers in Rotterdam discovered two separate shipments of cocaine, totaling approximately 1,069 kilograms. The first shipment of 839 kilograms was found in a shipping container from Brazil with two old Volkswagen vans. The second shipment of 230 kilograms of cocaine was found in a shipping container full of beer.
