Port calls

Two kinds of evidence, kept apart: calls Voydar detected from the ship's AIS positions, and arrivals and departures published by port authorities and customs records.

Detected from AIS AIS-detected

Glasgow GBGLWSep 23, 2026, 09:39 UTCSep 26, 2026, 12:56 UTC3 d 3 h

Detected by Voydar when the ship's AIS positions stayed slow inside a harbour area. Calls shorter than 30 minutes are not shown. Depends on AIS reception; detection started on June 8, 2026.

Behaviour at sea Voydar-derived

Patterns Voydar derived from this ship's AIS broadcasts. They are inferences, not reports: each one shows how it was computed and how confident we are, and none of them says why a ship behaved this way.

Draught change

Reported draught went from 7.4 m to 8.9 m while in port at Bremen. Voydar infers the ship probably loaded cargo.

Source: AISstream.io global terrestrial AIS. AIS data: AISstream.io. Licence: none published.

Derived from AIS positions of feeds whose terms allow display on Voydar. Coverage is terrestrial: gaps are reported only where our receivers kept hearing other ships. Detections below medium confidence are not shown.

About E-Ship 1

E-Ship 1 is a roll-on/lift-off (RoLo) cargo ship that made its first voyage with cargo in August 2010. The ship is owned by the third-largest wind turbine manufacturer, Germany's Enercon GmbH. It is used to transport wind turbine components. The E-Ship 1 is a Flettner ship: four large rotorsails that rise from its deck are rotated via a power take-off from the ship's engines. The sails, or Flettner rotors, aid the ship's propulsion by means of the Magnus effect – the perpendicular force that is exerted on a spinning body moving through a fluid stream.
