The perpetrators gained access to the vessel by climbing the starboard manifold area. The duty crew spotted the boarding party and informed the master who raised the alarm. Seeing the crew’s alertness, the perpetrators fled the vessel.

The duty crew subsequently noticed that ship’s cargo equipment was missing. A check of CCTV footage revealed that five robbers had boarded the vessel. The ship informed port control of the incident.

Following the discovery of the robbers onboard, the master raised the alarm. Hearing the alarm, the robbers jumped into the water and escaped in a waiting small fishing boat. Nothing was reported stolen. The incident was reported to the port control.
