海洋資源探査船RAMFORM TETHYSは、船長ほか21人が乗り組み、造船所関係者等148人を乗せ、長崎県五島市福江島南方沖において海上試運転中、平成28年2月19日13時38分ごろデフレクターハンドリングクレーンの台車が動き出して走行し、台車の上にいた作業員が転倒した。 RAMFORM TETHYSは、作業員が顔面骨多発骨折等の重傷を負い、第5甲板右舷後部のハンドレールの曲損等を生じた。
