The Master raised the alarm and the ship's crew mustered. After the alert was raised, the robbers jumped overboard and escaped. A few padlocks were opened and damaged, but no stores were stolen. Six pirates, armed with pistols, approached the tug, which was towing a barge. Four pirates boarded the tug and assaulted the crew causing injuries. They stole the crews belongings and ships equipment before escaping in their speedboat (IMB).
