A LITHUANIAN-FLAG CARGO SHIP WAS ATTACKED AT 0121 UTC 40 MILES FROM THE THAI PORT OF PHUKET. THE ATTACK REPORTEDLY WAS LAUNCHED FROM A HIGH SPEED CRAFT CARRYING 25 ARMED PERSONS WHO FORCED THE CREW TO STOP THE ENGINES. THEY MANACLED THEM TO THE RAIL WHILE THEY LOOTED THE SHIP.
