CAMEROON: On 30 June at 2345 local time, perpetrators kidnapped five crew members from the anchored Panama-flagged general cargo ship OYA 1 near buoy 27 at Douala Anchorage, near position 04-00N 009-38E. The ship raised the alarm and notified the Cameroon Navy and Battalion Intervention Rapide of the incident. A patrol boat came to assist and the remaining crew are reported to be safe.

CAMEROON: On 31 January at 0345 local time, two speed boats approached a Chinese fishing trawler operating off of Idenau near position 04-13N 008-50E, approximately 31 NM from the Nigeria-Cameroon maritime border. Armed military guards onboard the trawler fired shots toward the two speed boats, which resulted in them aborting their approach and moving away from the area. The vessel, crew, and military guards have been reported as safe.

CAMEROON: On 19 June, an underway offshore supply vessel (OSV) was fired upon by an unknown number of gunmen close to Archibong town in Bakassi waters near position 04-49N 008-36E. According to press reports, the OSV was on its way to Nigeria when it was attacked. The security personnel escorting the vessel fled when the attackers opened fire on the vessel. One of the OSV crew members was reportedly hit by a stray bullet.
