MEXICO: A canadian yachtsman was assaulted and robbed 12 Aug while motoring 5 miles off shore near Santa Rosalia in Baja California. Two young men in a boat approached the yachtsman and asked for water. They then boarded the yacht demanding money and, when the yachtsman refused, attacked him with a bread knife and slashed his throat before knocking him unconscious and stealing his possessions. The yacht drifted aground and the yachtsman was aided by local fishermen.
