The robbers aborted the attempt and escaped in their blue hull speedboat (ReCAAP ISC).

Bulk carrier's master stopped and called the firing vessel and was told that it was a "military boat". The firing stopped and the supply vessel moved away. The ship suffered bullet holes in windows and paneling, but no personnel casualties and was able to outrun her pursuers. A military aircraft reportedly responded to the ship's call but the perpetrators were able to escaped into marshes.
