    HAITI: During the evening of 13 April, heavily armed individuals hijacked the ship JEVI VLE and kidnapped its six crew members near Arcahaie, on the eastern side of the Gulf of Gonâve and approximately 16 NM northwest of Port-au-Prince Port. The ship was heading toward the island of La Gonâve with a cargo of 1,500 bags of rice. The information was confirmed by the Maritime and Navigation Service of Haiti.

    HAITI: On 17 February, at 1840 local time, three robbers armed with guns and machetes boarded the Singapore-flagged container ship TAMPA TRADER anchored at Port Lafito pilot boarding station, near position 18-40N 072-23W. The roving duty crew discovered that two crew members had been restrained by the robbers. The duty officer was immediately contacted and raised the alarm. Upon hearing the alarm, the perpetrators released the crew members and escaped. The crew mustered and searched the vessel.

    HAITI: On 27 October, at 0837 local time, unknown persons fired several gunshots at a bulk carrier berthed at the Port Au Prince VEP Terminal, near position 18-34N 072-20W. Five armed guards from the terminal who were onboard the bulk carrier retreated to the citadel with the crew. All crew members were reported safe, but the vessel sustained some damage from the gunshots. The incident was reported to the local agents.
