While on routine security rounds, duty crew spotted evidence of an attempted forced entry into the stores locker. A search by the crew revealed nonauthorized persons onboard. The master reported nothing was stolen and that all crew were safe.

ANGOLA: On 20 July at 0250 local time, a number of robbers boarded an anchored container ship at Soyo Anchorage, near position 06-06S 012-12E. The robbers boarded the vessel from a small boat and stole cargo from one of the containers. The duty crew spotted the robbery in progress and raised the alarm, which resulted in the perpetrators escaping the vessel. The ship reported all crew and the vessel safe.

After threatening a duty crew member with a knife, the robbers made their escape with items from one of the containers. ANGOLA: On 24 August, at 0420 local time, a robbery occurred on a container ship anchored approximately 7.7 NM west of Soyo, near position 06-07S 012-12E. Two robbers boarded the ship and escaped with stolen boxes of refrigerated chickens. The incident was reported to the local authorities.
