BANGLADESH: Passengers on the launch (SONARTORI-1), attacked by river pirates 11 Sep at Postogola, turned on their attackers beating one to death and injuring another while their five accomplices escaped. Seven robbers boarded the launch bound from Chandpur to Dhaka and were looting the passengers at knife point. Local police intervened to save the injured thief (INFO).
