The position shown is generalised to within about 10 km. The exact position is not published.

The wreck of a military vessel.

This wreck may be the last resting place of those who died aboard. Please treat it with respect.

How this was decided: Voydar's protection rules, from the sources we hold, confidence 65%. When in doubt, Voydar generalises the position.

Cospatrick was a wooden three-masted full-rigged sailing ship that caught fire south of the Cape of Good Hope early on 18 November 1874, while on a voyage from Gravesend, England, to Auckland, New Zealand. Only three of the 472 persons on board survived the disaster, which is often considered the worst in New Zealand's history.
